Birkerod, Marum, Helsingor, & Hillerod

Hey!

It's been a great week! The weather hasn't been so great, but we can't complain this week!

On Tuesday, I was on splits in Birkerød! That was pretty fun, but it stinks not being able to Work in your own area! But that led into Wednesday, where we then had service for a family in a town called Mårum, which is in the middle of nowhere haha. Then after that, we went up to Helsingør for an eating appointment, which in itsself, takes like 1h and 30m to get out there. So our entire Wednesday was shot. We actually had to spend the night in the Helsingør Elders' Apartment. It's way nicer than ours! But that's alright!

On Thursday, well, it was a terrible day, and it rained SO hard and it was just a bad day for success. We knocked tons of doors and we had nothing! So that was a pretty brutal day, but the week got better afterwards!

Saturday, we played soccer in the morning with our District and a less active member, so that was super fun! The rest of the day, Elder Brady and I went out to knock doors all day. We went up to Fredensborg, where the Queen of Denmark lives, and got a few potentials who said that we could come back! And then later in the day, we knocked a neighborhood in Hillerød that's sort of hidden. It's a super nice neighborhood and it's a pretty peaceful area. We had already planned previously to knock there, so we were glad to finally get out there and knock.

We began knocking and we knocked about 20 doors and NOBODY was home. It's the time of year where everyone in Denmark, including most employees, have a three week vacation. So everyone was out of town. Then the first door that was answered we found success! We told the lady we were missionaries from the church, and she said, "OH! Come in!!" So we went in! She had told us that 14 days earlier, she had been searching for her English Book of Mormon, which her brother gave her, who is Mormon, and she was looking up where the church is near her house. So she asked us if we had a Book of Mormon in Danish, because it would speak to her better. Of course, we gave one to her. She fed us Oreos. It was awesome! Then her husband and daughter came in and were so happy to see us! They said they've been to Utah a few times and just love Salt Lake and the Mormons who lived there. So they had tons of questions for us and are way thrilled to read the Book of Mormon. We have an eating appointment this afternoon with them and even better - they offered us a Copenhagen tour coming up and President O'Bryant approved it! :) We're stoked to meet with them Again. We taught them the Restoration and they were so intrigued. We are way happy!

Then we got another investigator whom we met with yesterday! We answered his questions but didn't get a full lesson in with him. We resceduled an appointment and we're excited to Work with him.

We have a full plate now and the Work does indeed move forward in Denmark! Slowly, but surely! We take our time but it requires a lot of effort! It's finally good to see the fruits of our labors!

I'll lay Down a quick scripture for you all. It's self explanatory, and instead of me explaining it, I want you all to ponder on it and think of what it says to you all. It's Alma 37:36-37. It says: "36 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day."
I came across that today actually, and it was super good for me! I know it'll be good to you all too, especially if we hearken unto those words!
I did get a Picture, but it's not too great. But it is a Ferrari Dealership here. It's way sweet and I had to get a Picture. Enjoy it! :)
I love and miss you all! I'm doing fantastic and it's incredible being a missionary! It's not easy, but it brings happiness!
Have a great week!
MKH,
